about you
name: Melissa
age: 22
location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
hobbies: drawing, reading, writing, sleeping, boozin'
top five favorite bands: This is too hard. Some of my favorite bands at the moment: Social D, Ramones, Turbonegro, Buzzcocks, Dead Boys, Stooges, Murder City Devils, Stones, Mummies, Electric Frankenstein, etc

about your reading habits:
top five favorite authors: Salinger, Vonnegut, David Sedaris, Palahnuik, Stephen King (I know, I know---I get a lot of shit for this).
top ten favorite books: This is also waaay too hard. I'll just name some I've enjoyed. Catcher in the Rye, High Fidelity, The Bell Jar, Geek Love, Still Life with Woodpecker, Prozac Nation, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Beach, Galapagos, Cats Cradle, Anything Sedaris, Anything Palahnuik, The Dark Tower Series, The Martian Chronicles, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Pulp, 1984, etc etc etc
your guilty pleasure reading: Stephen King, Sex books at work (I work at a porn shop).
most overrated book(s), in your opinion: On the Road. Perhaps it was just built up too much...
your favorite books/authors as a kid: VC Andrews and Christopher Pike got me through middle school (as well as Stephen King). I think I liked Judy Blume a lot when I was much younger. My favorite book when I was little was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day.

welcome! unfortunately this community looks to be pretty uninteresting to everyone, but hopefully we can still get some good stuff going on...I love David Sedaris too.
